Walk our 8.5 acre property and discuss in-season forageables together! Learn how to recognize and utilize choice mid-Michigan forageable plants (and possibly a few fungi) throughout the season. Each month we will learn 3-6 food plants from a variety of habitats: cultivated landscapes, meadows, water’s edge, and woodland. We will discuss how to incorporate wild foods into day-to-day meal planning, and each participant will receive one seasonal wild foods recipe.
This is an adult class, but children & families are welcome. Children 6 & under may accompany their adults free of charge. Children 7-15 may join with a half-price ticket. Children are expected to stay with the group for their own safety; childcare is not provided.
